Pros

Only the experience and the reputation working in a large company. It is good for your CV Make professional contacts and some friends

Cons

Impossible way of working, too much bureaucracy, no flexibility, lack of communication, no moral, no company ethics apart from the hunt of the annual bonus. Bad environment and for sure no companionship. Each one is looking for his bonus. Secretive to the extreme. Chinese management gives no value to individualism and for sure not to locals.

Pros

Looks good in your CV. If you are Chinese it can be a great place for you.

Cons

Very-very strong Chinese culture and behaviour. No work-life balance, there was a lot of overtime whitout any compensation. No flexibility in worktime. The cafeteria is very poor, and the salary is not so competitive (uneless you are not Chinese). Chinese workers receive much better salaries for less tasks for the same role than other citizens. The majority of the Chinese did not properly educated, their English knowledge is very poor. For them, the after-dinner sleep is much more important than the work. They do not act like American-European people: they smoked in the toilet, made garbage everywhere, spitting, not using handkerchiefs, they are very discourteous, noisy, etc.. Of course not all of them. They kept for us etiquette courses... You have to be online for 0-24, and in some roles you have to be in contact with different authorities or partners, but you won't get any mobile phone from the company, you should buy one for your money. It is so emberassing from one of the world's leading mobile phone manufacturer... Most of the colleagues had very unprofessional behaviour, they don't take care about deadlines, and they used fairy tale characters and avatars in the internal/external correspondence and sites, and they do not know or does not apply the official forms of business correspondence. Hello Kitty, Super Mario, panda bear, sunflower, etc. Business lunches always organized in Chinese restaurants, regardless of the partners, and customers are treated much more respect than the suppliers. Whose the company pays it is second-class. There is no possibility for development and move forward if you are not Chinese. If you are lucky, you get a job description (most of the colleagues never got one), but of course you have to do a lot of other tasks too. After a few months I had to do two role, whitout any compensation. The Chinese colleagues never take responsibility for anything, and always said that's your fault, you are the responsible for this, you will be in charge for this, etc. They really like hour-long meetings, but the useless ones whitout any effect. Of course they always discuss on the meetings in Chinese, so sometimes we sat there for hours, and we did not know what they were talking about. The trainings are the same, held for a long time but are worth nothing. Absolutelly useless. Internal systems are not very effective, with a lot of issues. The decision-making is very lengthy, and the managment unsuitable for it, but they have very big might. They have always open positions, because of the huge fluctuation (not Chinese workers), but I do not recommend this company. After my resignation, I didn't get from them my official papers for long weeks.
