Pros

IBM is a technical community made with intelligent, smart and hardworking individuals. My team and leadership supports, motivate and encourage us to learn and grow in every possible way. Opportunities are endless at IBM. It really depends on individual to take the opportunities if they want to grow their career and learn new technologies, process etc. IBM seems to have making bold bets and the teams are very flexible in adopting changes so easily nowadays.

Cons

IBM has shrink down on the middle management significantly making the organization more of flat hierarchy. This is a great move and make the organization very agile and flexible to change. Old IBM with bureaucracy and Red tape is long gone. However, the change may have added pressure on mid and senior level execs, as a result IBM's overall corporate strategy and vision may not be translated to regular front end workers, leading to misunderstandings.
