IBM has been a great company to start my career. I graduated with a B.S. Computer Science degree and IBM is my first job using that degree. They are a great company for those willing to learn and work.

Cons

Same as probably any large company. Promotions and pay raises are usually rolled out on a schedule. But you can climb faster if you provide value and work hard. Just remember to be your own advocate and if you honestly believe you're undervalued then bring it up. I personally have been well taken care of by a great manager.
