Pros

This review is only regarding IBM ISL Pune dept. >team members and management is really talented, friendly, motivating and caring. >wfh facility (though from 2017 wfh policy is cancelled but in festival and rainy season we can opt for wfh) >management is so caring that they asked employees to first look for job then resign. in job-cut period many of my team members shifted to other internal nice products. >flexible times. >access to cool infrastructure of IBM - mainframe , unix systems , databases, gitibm, bluemix, watson, lots and lots of VMs (i have 60+) for diff OS/servers. >awesome trainings (online training are lot better than third party classroom training) >support for patent filing. if you are innovative geek, just join IBM ISL.

Cons

>band 6 A/B must be given 6-12 package. i am stuck in lowest package and hike is just 0.2 or 0.3 per year. hence looking for new job as its depressing watching same or less exp friends getting 50-80% more package than you. >no coffee machine, refrigerator, snacks, gaming facilities. Pool boards are broken since years and table tennis is only available for those having play-kit. no management in these. >no trip, on-site opportunity (ISL is product based) and party. management funds are always low ! >once you stuck in incorrect product then u wil stuck into it forever; so just make sure of technologies, nature of product. Maintenance mode legacy products are boring. >you cant at all switch internally unless manager allows - and that never happens.
