      Pros

      1. Excellent industry leadership in all spheres with clear purpose and values. 2. Outstanding learning and development infrastructure. 3. Intense diversity, inclusion and execution focus on all dimensions. Nothing is professed (poster on office walls) that is not practiced day and day out. 4. One of the biggest pool of talented people that very few companies in the world can match.

      Cons

      Operational processes and decision making still have scope to become much simpler, less multilayered. Known item under active transformation already through many interventions.

      Pros

      There is a lot of momentum at the NEW IBM. We are focusing on improving our agility while delivering value to our clients. We have a good balance of work and life. We are shedding businesses that don't make sense for a growth company and acquiring ones that do.

      Cons

      There is still some baggage with clients that expect the old IBM that is hard to work with and really a "legal company that happens to do services". There are still some old school leaders that need to be upscaled or outed but this is not the majority anymore.

      IBM offers many opportunities to explore different disciplines from Technical Development to Strategy -- and everything in-between. The people are continuously working to help clients evolve their business by taking a perspective entrenched in a rich history of experiences. Whereas other consultancies have life time consultants -- IBM brings together consultants with Industry Experts. Some of the leadership has 20+ years of industry experience which is invaluable.

      Cons

      The shear size of the Company can become daunting for anyone to wrap their head around. It's the old adage of "the land of opportunity", but when there's too much to chose from sometimes people lose focus and burn out. Similarly if you can work 24 hours a day if that's your goal, but for many it leads to challenges.
