Pros

Mostly nice people. Super flex work locations (as long as you're not in a "co-lo" unit). Interesting bits of tech are being worked on sporadically here and there. Easy to lay low and float under the radar for a long time, if that's your game.

Cons

The burden of process. Bennies have been cut to the bone - so your health insurance is probably much more expensive than you are expecting. In most offices they even charge you for coffee. A hierarchy that is based more on longevity of employment rather than actual abilities. Sales is firmly in charge of everything, with a tech serf class whose jobs are continually in danger of moving to Brazil or India. Lots and lots of dead weight that adds complexity to processes merely to justify their own existence.
