Pros

IBM (and Watson, specifically) is a major player in the new AI economy that has established itself in the tech industry. A position at IBM means your work may eventually have some very impactful effects on individuals and larger entities who are customers. IBM takes care of its employees, as well, with comfortable salaries, adequate vacation allotments, and a very generous 401(k) matching program.

Cons

The company is just too big to move quickly. Politics and geographical separation make collaboration extremely difficult, and sometimes brings into question the scientific merit of what products get shipped. Specific cities are also not adequately classified for things like salary and cost of living considerations.
