Pros

Good benefits - nice health insurance, paid time off, decent vacation days and sometimes you're allowed to work remotely. Culture in the design studio is young and fun, but outside of that it's very legacy.

Cons

The company is very wishy-washy in terms of who they give certain benefits to. Some employees are allowed to work remotely but for the most part co-location has forced families to uproot their lives and move to an office, or lose their job. My manager doesn't know anything about development so it's been hard to get a promotion. Some of the projects can be a bit dull.

-Used to be able to work from home -Good benefits -Unlimited sick days

Cons

-Took away the work from home option -Only give Macbooks to some employees -Only give some employees the modern agile/open workspace -I was in the closed in, dark offices -They make you do jobs you weren't prepared to do (I had to do test automation and back-end development)

Pros

IBM is so big that the opportunities are very diverse. The company is transitioning into a new cool place to work. You can feel it in the air.

Cons

I have no real complaints yet. I work under IBM Design as a developer, so I'm constantly covered by designers. Not a complaint, but not a 'dev shop' like some might prefer.
