Great work life balance Leadership and colleagues are in general friendly

Top is laden with politics - I've seen two types of leaders: 1. people who rise to the top because they are great leaders 2. people who rise to the top because they have great relationships (but are not great leaders at all) Unfortunately type 2 has been much more common at IBM As a result, young, ambitious folks who work a lot, who are fully capable, often face a "glass-ceiling" at this company as they lack the sponsors/relationships

Smart people to work with, very creative, technical and enthusiastic. Technology working with IBM Cloud is interesting to learn and challenging keep up to date with since it is always changing

Cons

Sr. Leadership are not effective, too many layoffs, they can't stick with a plan and they are bullies. The pay is horrible and they error on the side of promoting and giving opportunities only to the young team players, marginalizing anyone with experience.
