I've stayed with IBM longer than anticipated for the sole reason that I had the flexibility to work from home. Since that is changing (i.e. "co-location"), I can not think of another reason to remain. I like my work, but not my job. There is a big difference.

Cons

There is an ongoing level of chaos at IBM that is toxic. At times, it can seem exciting and it gets spun that way (new strategy! new products! new org structure!) until you realize that it never ends. Never. Ever. Then it is just exhausting. Additionally, the top-down mandates keep coming, demanding more and more from fewer and fewer. Also exhausting. Meanwhile, benefits and pay are no longer competitive and they continue to diminish except for the precious few who are in the upper echelons. They tend to be the same people issuing the mandates.
