Hard work-life balance

Pros

Good salary and benefits. Plenty of work to keep you engaged or grow your career. Some managers are great and supportive.

Cons

Really poor work life balance. Teams are often too small with too much work - it's not realistic. People are often asked to work overtime but get nothing in return (on a regular basis). Many managers or senior leaders just don't care beyond their own sales incentives. There's a few who do tho (rare gems). The "bonus" is pretty much non-existent and I've had managers admit that you're considered a number in the eyes of the company. IBM doesn't really focus on the employee first despite what they say.

Great Place to Work

Pros

If you are not a technical person, many people would not be attracted to work for a company like IBM. However the company encourages and supports an inclusive environment whereby non-technical contributions are valued and hold as much weight as technical ones. Innovation and new ideas are encouraged.

Cons

As it is a large, global company, it takes some time initially to navigate around to find needed tools, resources, processes, etc.
