Pros

For someone right out of school who doesn't mind travel/moving and likes to play the ultimate corporate game, maybe?

Cons

Can we say bureaucracy? So many (supposedly flattened) layers, forget about new development - you'll waste vast amounts of time integrating with the wonderful IBM universe!

Pros

The people I worked with were smart and professional. I learned a lot and enjoyed my time there. There was a lot of comradery and collaboration.

Cons

There review process seemed ok but didn't really mean anything. It's all numbers at IBM, and if there isn't a budget for what you are doing, doesn't matter how well you do. IBM is moving there support services offshore which will decline their service in that area. Felt like a number in the end. Pay was as low as the market you were in would bare, and raises were few and far between.

Pros

Great opportunities to learn and improve skills. Flexibility. Home Office.

Cons

Salary x cost of life in some cities. No one seems happy to be working here.
