Exploiting employees to the fullest

Pros

IBM is only great if you're just about to start your career. Once you've learnt everything and have something to show on your CV, move to another company where you are actually appeciated.

Cons

There is not enough time in the world to list all cons. IBM is a great place of fake talent. Everybody is faking, especially those people who have "expert" in their job title. Management is exploiting employees to the fullest, if somebody leaves the team, they don't hire someone new but you will need to do the leaver's job too as a default from then on. Appreciation in return? None. Even if you would be willing to work overtime, it's not paid, or if it is, it's just simply not worth the effort. There is a process for everything and that would make you think everything is working smoothly but quite the opposite: IBM is chaotic, bureaucratic and trying to live off of its old reputation. Well guess what: it doesn't live up to its name at all and it's simply a miracle that it still hasn't sunk yet.

Pros

You have a lot of freedom to decide where and when you want to work.

Cons

Hard work is not appreciated Management doesn't care about the people, only the numbers count. Stupid decisions are made by executives, not based on logic, but lobbying and politics. Many efforts are useless and management is often not capable of handling the people. Impossible to get a raise Many people are leaving the company after one or two years, thereby lots of information is not transferred properly or gets lost completely. Below average payrates

Pros

Lots of training, looks great on a resume. Only useful as a stepping stone to a real career.

Cons

Poorly organized, incompetent workers and disinterested management. Salary is less than half the industry average for the position I held. Endless stream of lies about roles, raises, and travel obligations. Places client demands over legal obligations to the state and employees. incredibly unprofessional coworkers with minimal education and zero work ethic. Zero communication between management and employees regarding client engagements, etc. Misleading hiring process (most employees at our center were told they would be programming for mobile development, java, etc, but were instead trained on something entirely unrelated to their areas of interest).
