      Pros

      The work from home benefit was one of the best benefits IBM had. Sadly that is now gone as they move to the new co-location strategy and further offshore worker strategies. Reasonably Good Pay & Benefits Some Great People left in the company well recognized brand - good for the CV

      Cons

      High Stress Extreme hours are expected with no compensation, or time off in lieu, overtime etc.., often for weeks or months on end Top heavy - too many mangers with diverse opinions and directions and fewer and fewer technical staff to actually do the work outdated technology and processes, that slow down the work rather then enable it no real advancement options or career path. IBM wants young workers / offshore workers they can work extreme hours and then toss. No interest by the company in keeping talent anymore. IBM has become another IT sweat shop that turns over at an alarming rate their people.

      Pros

      Good place to work if you specialize in the latest technology. They will pay you well. Expect a nice signing bonus.

      Cons

      It doesn't mean the same to work for IBM. In the past you were proud to work for IBM. This is no longer the case. They don't respect the employee anymore. If you accept a job at IBM, better have plans to find another job once you can be replaced with a younger cheaper employee.
