Pros
A steady paycheck and the ease of doing business with established clients that trust the IBM brand. Technology that (mostly) works.
Cons
It's a corporation, so you are at the mercy of "Corporate Wisdom": layoffs, management's preference of "leadership" over real skills, ugly politics, back-stabbing and the overpromotion of the underqualified. Another issue to be aware of, especially to those on the Field, is that Engineering seems to lag Marketing in some areas. As a result, you may be asked to represent a "solution" that doesn't really address customers' needs, or is so buggy that it gets the entire account team banned from some clients.
