      Pros

      Worldwide company, a good name to write on your cv. Some line of business (like hw and sw) are good. Some country are good.

      Cons

      You're a number. In Italy IBM is not recognized as a management company, but as hw and sw vendor. If you want to work as a consultant you've to face a lot of problems, internal (like ou-of-markets tarifs) and esternal

      Pros

      I really can't think of any. Maybe the IBM name and reputation but even that is questionable these days.

      Cons

      Mandatory voluntary overtime. Basically, you have to work 10% overtime to get a good review. You need an excellent review to be considered for a raise. Promotions are given only after a lengthy process of 'proving your worthy' through a ton of paper work and multiple levels of management approvals.
