Pros

Lot's of room to move around if you have to but with the lack of communication at times, it's hard to tell if you "need" to move. Issues that directly affect your position are kept really close to the vest until after the fact. This makes deciding what to do prior to the "event" very hard to prepare for.

Cons

You get lost in the shuffle and support for needed equipment is often denied or forgotten. It often takes several attempts to even get an up or down verdict. This is a VERY large ship and does not turn quickly. If you have a lot of patience, then this might work for you.

Pros

IBM is a top Consulting brand that will look good on your resume. The training opportunities are plenty more than most other Consulting Firms. IBM and Accenture are two of the best Firms to build up your Core Consulting skills. IBM unlike Accenture has more over 40 year old Consultants, so it is a more mature Work-Life balanced culture than Accenture's Long hour Work-days and Spring-Break Weekends.

Cons

IBM is too big to notice you as a person. I hate the Partner worshiping. The Coaching and Performance Reviewers just suck. The retirement and benefits package used to be good but they are being cut significantly.
