Pros
The company has a huge number of great people. In general everyone helps one another in spite of any pointless control rules. When we want to get things done we just do it. The spirit that forms in teams and the global reach each team can have is very inspiring. Its the people who you learn to rely on that make it worth working there.
Cons
There is an old fashioned mentality one of measuring as an obsession. Very often the things measured and the processes that must be followed bear no resemblance to the value people are generating. Too often the old fashioned management in control employees as resources comes into play. The reality is everyone works for the same company but these artificial power structures can seriously dent success for teams and individuals. If your first line manager does not like what you do, you may be able to still get things done bring value to clients etc, but you will get hit by the ridiculous personal business commitments review process that can be skewed any direction to fit a nominal bell curve distribution of performance required from up on high.
