Pros

- Annual Cost-of-living adjustments to salary - Bonuses for not smoking and being active

Cons

- Managers forced to rank all team members, with the top 10% getting raises and good reviews and the remainder getting as little as 1% raise. -Lotus Notes sucks -IBM talks a good game. It went from "Work-Life Balance" initiatives to "Work-Life Integration". Most employees in the software division I worked were expected to check email and resolve bugs in the evening hours. Daily.

Pros

Exciting work at the top of the industry. Good work at home, family friendly policies.

Cons

Dubious business strategies, stagnant wages, lack of investment in people and education compared to the "old IBM."
