Pros

Flexible Hours, decent "Off the books" benefits like unlimited sick days (As long as you get your work done) and the option to work from home. The area can be a pro if you like living in the middle of nowhere.

Cons

Pay is quite low, especially considering the mandatory 44 hours a week. Any time you talk to someone about their project, people will respond with "Dumpster Fire". Every is overworked and feels like their project isn't going well. Attrition is extremely high, you can see cubes empty almost every week. The area can certainly be a con, if you aren't used to living in the middle of nowhere. Most things are an hour or so away. Cost of living isn't very low, especially not as low as a recruiter may try to make you think.
