Really interesting work in customer transformation. Awesome projects, great teammates, and there is always something new to learn!
Cons
In consulting, you're expected to engage in extensive networking to secure projects, which can often be in short supply. Working on proposals and supporting sales efforts aren't viewed as billable or productive tasks, affecting your overall utilization score. Securing work, particularly at the beginning or end of the year, can be quite stressful and challenging. Staffing managers have never assisted me in finding work; I have had to seek out all opportunities on my own, and the application process to get staffed can be competitive.
