Pros

You get experience prospecting, presenting, and account management. Young coworkers.

Cons

Where do I begin? You think wow this job sounds great! They are relaxed and I can get some great experience. Well think again. Here is my experience: - you HAVE to prospect after work and on weekends to even have a hope of hitting your quota. Prospecting consists of having to sift through at least 10 cards and reading through them in their homegrown CRM that is crap. It is extremely tedious and terrible. There is NO lead generation and most good companies have been beaten to death. - 60 call/150 min minimum. Yes this is achievable if you call fake numbers. Don't kid yourself everyone does and the management did. Is this the best way to run a company? Emails are not tracked and are by far the best way to communicate as people are way more responsive. - Young coworkers can be fun, but it also means a lot of gossip and cattiness. - Management is completely inexperienced and terrible. There was only one good manager. The others had so many issues I do not even know where to start. There is minimal training for them so they end up just micro managing you and not acting professional. - There is no help if you need it. It is a very sink or swim mentality. Your manager is just constantly interviewing people to fill in positions. I saw around 40 people leave in less then a year. High turnover=terrible moral. There were only a handful of people that were not looking to leave when I left. -They tell you there are growth opportunities, they lie. The recruiters and managers will tell you anything to get you in the door since people quit pretty much every week. I will leave it at that. If you think you will have a different experience, you wont. My advice to you- do not think to yourself that you will get more experience here. It is better to get in a position of just prospecting and working your way up at a good company that people enjoy working for. I PROMISE you that it will be way more worth it in the end and will not burn you out like Indeed. Also these reviews are not from people who were fired or just the disgruntled, this is the unfortunate truth. Do yourself a favor if you are interviewing and contact some people over linked in and ask them what they think (make sure they have been there for over 3 months)

Pros

Great people to work with. Lots of free food, open floor plan. Lots of company happy hours.

Cons

Horrible management. The product doesn't work like they say it should. It's so hard to sell a product since people don't know about it and its a different way to do business. You hardly make any money there. Management has no idea how to manage a team. There's too much micromanagement. I would stay far away from this company. They try to get you to come join them with free food and beer. But that's all you're going to get out of it.

Pros

401K Health Benefits Free Food, All the junk food you can imagine...you will gain a few pounds at Indeed

Cons

I encourage all potential employees of Indeed to read every review on Glassdoor. It will save you a ton of turmoil and trials. I applied to the Account Executive position and within 12 hours I got a call from the recruiter. I asked simply questions about working conditions and the role. I was told that turnover is low and people stay with the company at least 2+ years. Also, I was told that you will hit 80k-120k your first year. This is not possible and more then half of the company can't hit their quota. According to the reviews, Indeed is quickly becoming one of the worst places to work in the Silicon Valley. I have even heard the recruiters joke about how easy it is to bring people onboard and the speed in which they leave. It is almost like a game to them. Please remember one main thing. Indeed has to sale itself to its potential employees...because the truth won't sell itself. The recruiters main intention is to sale you Indeed, so be careful...half of what they say is completely false. Turnover: After a few months, my entire training group has either been fired or left for better work...I am the only survivor and hopefully one of the companies I am speaking with picks me up soon. I have never witnessed a higher turnover for any company in my life and I have worked at some horrible places. Please...I beg of you...do not become a employee of Indeed...you will regret it, especially after you are fired for not hitting quota and unemployed. If you have a family, married or have someone to support...do not under any circumstances take a position with Indeed. It is not the place to maintain of grow a career. Management: Completely unprofessional. They like to start meetings by saying " What's up Mother F***kers? Really??? They also go around trying to figure out who posted the most recent negative review on Glassdoor. Very immature attitude, little direction and little management experience. Sales: Indeed does not provide any sales support for their salesman. No lead generation- You find companies to call. Sounds easy right? Try finding a reasonable prospect when numerous other sales reps have called them before you. 999 out of every 1000 companies is not taken, and the ones that are not taken are usually poor at best. Joke of a sales floor, I constantly look around and ask myself how did I let myself get in this situation? It's horrible...
