Pros

ndeed was a fantastic place to work. I never once woke up dreading going in. I do think that employee's day to day experience depending heavily on their direct report and attitude. Overtime is not allowed so the schedule was very routine. The sales targets were fair.

Cons

The communication between upper management and Account Executives could be better, promotions beyond Senior Account Executive are competitive

Cons

It's so fast paced that you can often feel swamped and burnt out.

Pros

An honest review that should be considered before taking a role at Indeed. I value these reviews greatly and want to give an inside look for anyone considering this role. Your jobs is to make 60 cold calls and be on the phone for 100 minutes every single day. Due to these forced metrics which I think are necessary it causes tons of bs and fake dialing for all reps. There is a lot of fluff and faking demos, props, calls and even money brought in. I think Indeed is a great employer who compensates fairly and gives out a ton of free food which is nice. Making 100k is very doable and most people on the growth side are at least at that level regardless of skill. A lot of this job seems to be luck as the people you are calling know how to use the platform and just have to sit back and hope they spend. I think its a good role to consider and I do not regret my time there.

Cons

There are about 50 people gunning for 1 manager opening and many people have been at company a long time. I would say maybe 1% of reps actually move into management. Randomness in regards to who does good. The sales results is not a true result of who are the most talented sales reps as it comes with tons of luck for how your book of business performs. Things to note - Can you make 100k - Yes! Know you will be calling the same people over and over who don't really need your help most of the time Overall I think its a great first company out of school and was very helpful to have a recognizable name on the resume. Tons of admin work to be done for a sales position

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review about your experience working as an Account Executive. Working in sales is challenging, but the career path is a bit more extensive as we do want our employees to be promoted internally. Our AE’s can move up to Senior AE, Account Manager and then on to National Account Manager. We also encourage our employees to have constant conversations with their manager about career development and internal moves which could be into different departments.
