Great Company and Work Environment!

Pros

I have worked for several small and large companies in multiple states and Indeed is the best company I have ever worked for by far! I currently work in the Austin location and we have free breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday. We also have a barista making coffees and smoothies all day. This office also has a gym / fitness center will classes offered. Leadership puts on a monthly meeting that allows the President and department leaders to give an update on the company and were we are headed. Co-workers are friendly and eager to help train and share knowledge with each other. The company culture and environment is fun yet professional. People at Indeed care about doing a great job and support the overall mission of helping people get jobs. They also offers happy hours, game nights and holiday events monthly.

Cons

Only would suggest that the three Austin offices get combined for everyone to have the same company experience.

Pros

I help people find jobs. And I love that mission. I truly believe Indeed is a great company and would recommend it to others. I'm completely behind the CEO and senior leadership's vision. I love the product team with which I work. They're wonderful and bright people.

Cons

The marketing org is more political and corporate than those of my past companies. What I mean by that is there is clear downward pressure in the way management instructs which results in a stronger feeling of being micromanaged as a cog than in other tech companies at which I've worked. Don't talk to directors directly, and ask your manager to talk to their manager to talk to them. Be prepared to get your work reviewed every rung of the way up to the top of marketing only for it to get completely scrapped at the end, wasting months of time in middle management churn. My manager has been friends with their manager for years before Indeed, introducing an awkward social dynamic where I don't think all the checks and balances are in place for objective discussion. I do not recommend the product marketing team.

Pros

Great company to work for, with an amazing culture! The growth the organization has seen is incredible and I believe this growth is a direct result of the teams that are working so hard to push the Indeed brand to new and exciting markets.

Cons

As with any growth period, there can be some levels of attrition of staff, but for the most part, this is only a small part of the day to day for Indeed.
