Pros

Solid company, great product, market place dominance, free food, decent base pay

Cons

As a sales person who's worn many hats and sold in this industry as well as others previously, I've seen worse, however I've seen a lot better too. The senior management, has so much on their (his) plate due to a recent buy out, and expected growth. This is a problem, because it's now a cut throat atmosphere in the workplace, and EVERYONE has steep goals to meet. I enjoyed and appreciated my colleagues and immediate report, however this is the most internally competitive role I've ever had. This is a 100% cold prospecting, cold calling role which means you need to find your own leads to call on in order to have work to do that day. If you have leads or not, you still have call numbers to reach. The problem is the opportunities are few and far between, and you are limited to what you can call on. At the same time, you must request leads from your colleagues to keep a pipeline to call on. Attrition is the main problem that needs to be solved. Keep us happy. Sales people can and will move around if the opportunity isn't fulfilling enough, or if there aren't enough tools or resources in place to allow us to succeed. In closing, this was a rough bump in my sales career as I had high hopes for myself there. Again, the company is well grounded, but the sales floor is as cut throat as it gets.

Pros

Young group of people that work hard and play hard. Most are friends that hang out after work and on weekends. Feeling of being part of growing something. Product overall is good, very innovative, works well.

Cons

Short-sighted management, with strict call and activity metrics on salespeople. They take a robotic approach to selling, very scripted, very methodical... and don't allow sales people to be creative or 'go out of the box' to sell and win deals. People will make calls, just to make their call quota for the day/week... for fear of being put on a performance plan.

Pros

Very nice people to work with. International team is pretty cool. Flexible work hours

Cons

No room for advancement at all. People come and go. Definitely not a career job. Bad communication between departments/people causes confusion, delays, mistakes, and waste of time. Managers set goals that are always unachievable so you never get good bonuses.
