Pros

The team I worked with at Indeed was by far the best I’ve experienced in my career. My colleagues and team leaders were supportive, collaborative, and consistently recognized the work I delivered. They continuously fought for me to become a permanent employee but unfortunately their praise fell onto deaf ears.

Cons

Unfortunately, my overall experience with Indeed left me disappointed. I was a contract employee doing the same work and often times more work as full-time staff but without benefits (no PTO, holidays and You Days unpaid, weak and expensive healthcare benefits through staffing agency). Despite strong performance and a recent contract renewal, I was given just one week’s notice before my role was eliminated and offshored. As a contractor, this meant no severance which FTEs received when company wide layoffs occurred not long after. The way contract employees were handled felt abrupt and poorly managed.

Pros

Great offices, good stock allocation for those in manager+ roles, open PTO (works well if you have a reasonable manager)

Cons

SLT has lost the plot, year after year of poorly planned, poorly executed layoffs. Deeply unhappy ICs, false promises, upper management is now a game of favouritism vs results based decision making

Pros

Pays well, fairly LGBT positive workplace

Cons

Management is trying to correct a sinking ship by laying off as many employees as they can and leaning heavily into AI. Employees picking up the slack are overworked and unhappy. Review cycles and processes are constantly shifting, and constant reorgs make the company feel like musical chairs
