Some great people, but hated my time here...

Pros

Very talented people. Decent perks. Pay. PTO

Cons

Company would rather give out all of these unnecessary perks to attract people instead of being responsible with their money, which certainly must have contributed to two major layoffs in the last two years. What would people rather have? Perks like free meals, or keep their jobs? Way too concerned with being "woke" and following the social trends, and if you fall outside of what is the norm there, you're isolated. Real diversity includes diversity of thought, which isn't part of the culture here...

Pros

The work was rewarding and the team that I worked with was incredible. We truly felt like a family. I had a great time working at Indeed in my 8 years and learned a lot from my time there. If I was not laid off I would still be working at the company. I enjoyed the work, the clients and teammates I worked with.

Cons

There are updates and changes happening multiple times in a quarter and half the time you are left in the dark about some of the updates until a client brings it up. There is a lot of adapting that needs to take place so be prepared to continue learning new processes constantly. There are also a ton of site issues that continually make doing your job more difficult. Based on being laid off in the second round of layoffs there is not a lot of job security here. I met or exceeded all my KPIs quarter over quarter and was let go after 8 years of employment. SLT says they want your next career to be at Indeed, but then again they laid off 23% of the company in the last year. But all in all I did enjoy working at Indeed.

Pros

-Strong Pay for Top performers -Excellent benefits: Specifically, Parental Leave, and Insurance through Aetna,

Cons

-Indeed has been eliminating cross-functional support for NAM roles, which makes the day-to-day a lot more heavy in administrative tasks -Expect to be traveling most of every week and living in hotel rooms/airports, or constantly being on the road. Note you'll be staying in the cheapest dirty hotels if you're in any major city. -Unlimited PTO? Sure, but you'll be expected to work at any time the client deems it necessary. At no point in my years at Indeed did I have a work-free vacation -The VP of sales received a promotion to "Group VP of Sales" one week prior to laying off an addition 1,000 people after laying off 2,200 people in 2023. -Consistent changes to product that enrage Enterprise clients with little prep for sales people to handle these matters effectively.
