Hi there. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review about your time working at Indeed in Sydney. You’ve highlighted some really great positives about working for us and it’s disappointing to hear your negative experiences. Our senior management team and especially HR are there to support and guide our employees journey’s at Indeed to make sure they are engaged and happy. It sounds like this is something we did not get right with you and we would love to find out more so please email inside@indeed.com to give us more insight. You’ll be pleased to know our Sydney office will be growing more in 2019 which will mean there will be more open roles available to move into. We recognise it is a relatively small office and up until this point there have not been as many roles for our employees to apply to as we would have liked. However many of our employees have moved into new roles in completely different departments and office locations, so it’s disappointing to hear you could not find something suitable.

We do pride ourselves in the benefits and perks we offer our employees, one of which being the Open PTO which you mention above. The open PTO (Paid Time Off) is intended to be used by everyone. We want employees to take off as much time on holiday as they need, as long as they are hitting their targets and have manager approval. Everyone’s circumstances are different, but the PTO numbers (time taken off) reported globally have increased every year since we added the benefit. If that's not the case for you, we want to hear about it. As a business we take our mission of helping people get jobs very seriously but mix that with a relaxed office environment and friendly culture. Obviously this varies slightly across locations and departments but something we try to make sure stays as consistent as possible As a current employee it’s important that you continue to give feedback to HR and your manager about how we need to improve as a business.
