1. Process, may times feels like, very rigid.
2. Rule to remember "Nothing is free in Infosys". Including Parking is charged. However (you have to think that) it is used for the improvement of the specific service, I guess
3. Very rigid working hours. Especially if you are working in a secure ODC, you can't use the Infosys's "Work From Home" option at all and it won't be compensated with anything else. Quarterly daily average working hours must be 9hrs 15 mins. It used to be annual daily average until an year ago, but been made as quarterly daily. I have seen may people struggling against this.
4. Pay structure is another issue. Your entire salary, after standard deductions is taxed. If you declare your savings, until you submit the proof, you will be taxed at 50% of that section. Housing loan is another nightmare. You need to produce Copies of Registration of the property. I know some of the people who haven't done the registration and are paying EMI's and can't avail the tax benefits, of course they have the other supporting documents and they are not accepted :(.
5. Quarterly variable payment is another funny thing. Many of the DM's bring in new parameters to impact the employee's variable pay, viz., negative average working, # of days of leaves (even if you had to go on leave on health emergency and performed very well till they went on leave, manager just said your utilization was less and negated the quarterly pay off)
6. No consideration for the employee's performance, if your utilization, in another words if your billability was less. Very painful and nobody will listen to you.
7. Reskilling is a good buzz word but is being used as a parameter for your performance assessment. Which i just to impose the rule. People will surely learn something when they need or want it. Forcing it just worsens the effectiveness of the delivery.
