Pros

As long as you're there you can almost assure job security.

Cons

Very different culture from all other companies. You are expected to work long hours with no compensation. Also they want to track everything you do to the minute. A lot of responsibilities are assigned and management expectations are high. Be ready to stay in the same position, work long hours, and receive no compensation.

They pay you full salary while on the bench up to probably over a year. They don't fire or lay off people. Constantly hiring. Easy way to start off a career.

Cons

No career advancement. First promotion takes 4 years and that's almost nothing. It takes 8 years to become Project Manager. No choices or preferences for locations, industries, or work. No bonuses or personal incentives. Incompetent HR and poor policies. Retention rate for US hires is less than 1 year. Basically, you have no future if you are not Indian.

1. Excellent training facilities 2. You can lead a college life in a software firm and suits people of such attitude

Cons

Regional politics. absurd rules by HR which controls anything and everything in the company Work for nearly 10 hrs a day and you will be paid labour salary. Company grows leaps and bounds and employees have to suffer a lot. If you have to work in infy you have to be in onsite and onsite oppurtunities are pure luck and mostly are politicised. Though you are trained in the most recent technologies you will be working on legacy systems and technologies.
