Pros

This place gives alot of opportunity to live the nomadic life within India and outside india which looks like the best thing till the time you are open to travel. it gives you ample opportunity to do new things within a given framework and its and awesome place for people with mediocre intellectual capabilities. No body will move you from your comfort zone and no body will care for you. you are on your own in a university campus environment, where you are payed for playing cricket, exercising your muscles and flirting with women. Its a perfect place for people who are fun loving and not so serious about their work

Cons

some times, you need to work and also show that you work alot by staying up late at office and impressing your managers to get the best grades and still hope that things will be alright, as your manager does not belongs to your regional background. completely bureaucratic organization with a lot of policies and the policies change with effective date of the gone by year. Best termed as slow, non motivational , conservative organization.

Pros

Infosys is a process oriented and customer focussed company. In India, there are lots of opportunties for training and learning. Infosys always tries to balance the needs of the shareholders and clients. Senior management is very transparent and straight forward. They have a good structure to create leaders.

Cons

Even few years back, when Infosys was a mid-sized organization, the organizational culture was fairly open and informal. With growth came structure and an unwanted outcome was bureaucracy and red tape. More often than not, this results in unnecessary frusturations for the employees. Also, with the size and rapid growth, it is not surprising if a new comer feels 'lost' in the organization. The support structure (HR, Finance etc.) in India is fairly good. However, the support in US is found to be lacking. The company often relocates employees, sometimes, across continents. Though this is the 'Global Model', it is often done in a haphazard way and is an inconvenience to the employees.

Pros

Their corporate campuses in India are beautiful and the corporate training at their Global Education Centre in Mysore, India was a good experience. When I got sent back to the US to do actual work, there was no work for me to do, so I ended up collecting five months full-time salary for sitting around my apartment doing nothing.

Cons

Bureaucracy up the wazoo. Salary sucks, and everybody is treated equally regardless of talent. People are assigned to projects not based on talent or employees' wishes, but based on the roll of the dice.
