Pros

Excellent training Capable people to work with. Great campus with excellent sports facilities Strong values like equality and fairness.

Cons

To much depends on the type of project you get. To slow progress monetarily and promotion wise. Lack of desire by company to retain people. Rather gets new people.

Pros

1) State of the art training facilities including the multiplex, gym , bowling alley at Mysore. 2) The first 6 months (during training ) is awesome. Hands on experience in various domains plus the importance given to soft skills training ( 5 days of training by the ILI ) is a great experience. 3) Infosys is a great place to learn the processes of a company. 4) Best place for a non CS student to learn the basics. They teach you from the scratches.

Cons

1) Once you get into production there is a lot of disappointment in terms of projects allocation, inter unit transfer , inter city transfer et al. 2) The middle level management has absolutely little clue about mapping human resources to a delivery unit based on the skill sets. for eg : Java trained resources are blocked by a Delivery Unit with the promise of projects, but the projects are forever in pipeline. Whereas in some units Mobile Tech trained people are put into Java projects. The concept of Bench needs to be redefined . Delivery Units which lock resources for more than 3 months should be made to release them into a common pool where they can be picked as per the requirements. 3) A lot of the company's policies are totally ridiculous :dress code ( Imagine wearing Tie in Chennai where it is SUMMER for 10 months and summer for the remaining 2 months !! ) , freeze in pay hike , lack of transparency in Appraisals and CRRs to name a few.
