Pros

They had amazing training program.

Cons

Generally speaking, Ingram Micro is a decent place to work at. They had well-organized training that realistically covered more than 70% of the actual work. The rest 30% however was the deal breaker for me. During my interview, I pointed out that I want to work in a team without any gossiping and intrigues. I never mix my professional life with my personal one, which seemed alright to them. Not long after I started there was a team building that I wasn't able to attend and that was the start of my nightmare experience. My manager (she) started having a very awful attitude towards me. Once she gave me a task without explaining how exactly to do it and after I did it she seriously raised her voice to me in 1 to 1 meeting and started yelling using the words: мишкарски истории, некадърници, etc... I was still very new and I said something like "I take responsibility and I will make sure that will not happen again". The response was "That is not enough"!. My mother had never once raised her voice to me like that. Not only did she never show me how to do anything but she even criticized my work by using offensive words and aggressive behaviour. Until this day I am frightened by this woman. The first month I had a target I completely finished the tasks and I reached my target. Unfortunately in a 1 to 1 meeting, she told me that she won't give me my commission because I was not doing enough. Can you imagine being very new and still not knowing what to do and finally you start doing something right and your manager takes your reward away without any valuable reason... I had never witnessed such unprofessional, openly aggressive, and immature behavior from a manager. After a while, I started seeking opinions from colleagues. One of them told me she chooses people who are able to gossip with her, drink beers with her, and smoke cigarettes outside with her. As you can imagine I was not quite the target audience for that and he explained that she yells at him as well and he is also trying to find a way to expose her but it's hard because her manager is a close friend of hers and that gives her immunity. During my working experience there I received only 1 bonus for 6 months even though I reached my targets and I was exposed to stress, bullying, and mental abuse. As I continued to collect feedback from my colleagues it turned out that almost all of them went through the same thing: she focuses on one person at a time and every month is a different one. "You can take a break when she is onto another one of us", someone said... That doesn't sound right. Ingram is a wonderful place but it has a serious problem with the management. As I hear now other teams are complaining about their managers as well. Such a shame that a nice working place like this one can be ruined by a few individuals who think that is okay to have such an unprofessional manner and get away with it.

Pros

They had a very decent training

Cons

My manager had an aggressive and unprofessional attitude towards me even in the first few months. She used inappropriate words such as некадърници, мишкарски изпълнения, etc. When I reached my first target, she said that she wouldn’t give me my bonus without even pointing out a valuable reason. Throughout my working experience there, I witnessed gossiping, gaslighting, manipulation, and, again, aggressive and unprofessional behaviour. When I tried to speak with a colleague of mine, he explained that she takes people into her team based on whether she can smoke cigarettes and drink beers with them. I never mixed my personal life with my professional one, and that seemed to be an issue. To me, it is absolutely unforgivable to raise your voice, especially during work. The worst thing is that her manager is a close friend of hers, and unfortunately, I had nothing to do but leave. It is very disappointing to see such a successful and amazing company lose young and motivated people because of individuals like her. Very disappointing!
