Always wanting more, more and giving less - North American culture where we are all expendable
Pros
Company is more profitable than it’s ever been and they pay bonuses. People I work with day to day are good people who mean well. Pay is ok. Benefits ok.
Cons
The North American culture is embedding in the company across all levels - you don’t care about people anymore and their lives, everyone is replaceable. They expect more, and more of people at all levels. Ideally we should all have no life outside of work and live for intact and to make the executive team rich. If you say something, you’re told you ‘can’t handle the pressure’ or you’re not living the values or the leadership success factors. Company has turned into a cult. If you challenge anyone from Intact your career is finished. Glad they are changing the name as it’s very different to the old RSA and doesn’t resemble the place where people were valued from the past.
