      Such a welcoming supportive employer!

      Every person is supportive and open to questions, in the first week I felt incredibly welcomed, lots of opportunities to move within the company if you are not happy, the most employee focused company I've ever worked fo.

      Cons

      Onboarding processes seemed to be all over the place or in some cases nonexistent so was hard to understand the business and my role/department

      The background check was done after the job offer which I found odd. What if someone took the job, terminated their present employment, then failed the background check? Suddenly unemployed. Could be a devastating situation depending on ones circumstances.

With regard to your background check, it is standard practice at most employers to provide an offer contingent on a successful background check. Future employees should be advised to wait for the results of their background check before resigning from their organization.
