Pros
Very good reputation, and well respected by those outside the company. Having a few years experience at Intel helps a resume. Intel does have excellent in-house training: management training, time management, planning, etc. Intel does encourage challenging yourself and moving into different professions; and offers educational reimbursement for employees.
Cons
Very bureaucratic, advancements are political and not done fairly across the board as preached. The same management team that oversaw the decline of Intel's stock price and image in the early 2000's are STILL in place. If I had done as poorly as those execs in my time at Intel, I would have been fired following the annual review (Focal) years ago. Instead, those guys get promoted up!
