Pros

The opportunity to work alongside very smart, highly qualified people and a challenging, dynamic work environment. Processes and procedures are well defined although the number of people required to get something ratified made is large, and this creates a cumbersome and slow-moving decision-making process.

Cons

The hours can be long and some managers do not take this into consideration when requests for personal time come up. The amount of ongoing change creates a lack of clarity and confusion amongst teams who sometimes don't know what to focus on.

Intel has a very rigorous manufacturing environment. There are a lot of opportunities for interesting projects to work on. Intel is a very stable company that continues to make a profit every quarter. This adds relative stability to a job at Intel when compared to other companies in the industry.

Cons

There are a lot of managers. Too many chiefs and not enough indians. A lot of busy work in dealing with the day to day grind.
