      The reputation is better than the reality...though it's a pretty easy place to work....

      Pros

      The vast majority of people are really great and people you'd like to be friends with outside of work. Plus, the benefits are great, the compensation is really good, and the hours are easy to handle.

      Cons

      Hasn't been on the "fast track" of progress and innovation in a while. Much of senior management is really good at empire building and managing upwards, which doesn't make for a great experience to do things differently. Very political place.

      Need to return back to the basics on what made this company great

      Pros

      1) If you're looking for a "cushy" job and are willing to play the game then this is the company for you. 2) Intuit's benefit package is one of the best in class. 3) There are good people working there. You can form some great friendships on a personal and a professional level. 4) Spotlight awards can be given by anybody for a job well done.

      Cons

      1) Culture has changed in the past 5 years, it's not the same company it used to be 2) The decision making model needs some serious improvement. The decision making process is consensus decision making. The decision style that should be used is consultative decision making. The DACI table is filled out, but then promptly forgotten - everybody believes that they are the decision maker, which causes analysis paralysis, as well as an extrodinary amount of time to resolve the "churn".

      Great people, great work/life balance. Very analytical organization. Its great to work on products that millions of customers experience.

      Cons

      It's hard to move fast on new initiatives
