Pros

It's a generally pleasant environment and the hours are very standard. If you are underperforming there is very little risk that you will be held accountable or let go.

Cons

It's very slow to get things done, even in a smaller division like QuickBase. Every project has to have a thorough plan and be thought-through ad nauseum before any action is allowed to be taken. When people mess up major things or generally get no work done, ever, they are allowed to coast and no one is fired. This is very demotivating if you actually want to make a difference and help advance the business.

Pros

All around good company that usually genuinely cares about employees. Overall, the company is flexible with personal schedules. Company is doing well and the stock continues to uptick. Total benefit package is competitive.

Cons

Always has been and, seemingly, always will be a divide between employees at the Mountain View office and other employees with regard to advancement opportunities, training and projects. The amount of work being sent to the India office is off the charts despite a less than stellar history when doing so. Supposedly using agile but other than daily scrums there is very little that is agile. Most agile teams are run by development managers which frequently cause rifts as they defend the development team while chastising others. Back-stabbing is frequent and trust is waning. Petty things will show up on annual reviews as negatives despite no-one mentioning anything during the course of the year. Careers will be held back simply because you are not given the opportunity to work on the right projects. Management has their favorites, those who simply blindly follow without speaking their mind; if you are outspoken you will be held back. Those who advance the fastest are the same people you seldom hear a word from.
