Pros

Opportunity to stretch into new roles outside of "resume" expertise (also a downside here) Compensation Leadership capabilty on my my team in particular... cohesive, collaborative, challenging Really smart people (a con for the furture see below) Strong pockets of humility that still nurture the voice of the customer

Cons

Real rsk of losing the great talent we have in the future through a delicate change effort Stretch roles don't always materialize into careeer growth which can lead to burn out Insufficient focus or communication of focus or perhaps clarity (not sure the root cause here) in a time of necessary change We sometimes appear to suffer from the opposite of Not invented here... all the best and brightest ideas and people seem to now come from outside the company

Intuit is a great place to work!

Pros

Overall I believe that Intuit truly cares about its people. Employees are treated with respect and are given opportunities to learn and grow. Senior leaders (especially Brad) communicate honestly, sincerely and with a transparency that is refreshing. Leaders don't "sugar coat the bad" but at the same time, they know how to recognize and appropriately celebrate our successes. Lots of integrity; we'll never see an Enron here. The People I see smart people working together to acheive the best end result. Less politics and back stabbing than I've seen in any organization. It is a very collaborative environment. Management Performance feedback is given regularly and fairly. Work/Life The benefits are great. The ability to work remotely is common and encouraged. Managers are understanding and flexible when it comes to managing your personal life. Intuit is a great place to work! I've worked for several Fortune 100 companies and this is among the best. Hey, we didn't win Fortune's Most Admired software company for no reason!

Cons

There is a lot of pressure in terms of work load. Don't work at Intuit if you're looking to slide by and leave by 5pm every day. Mountain View is a beautiful campus, but some of the other offices are dated and depressing by comparison. It may not sound important, but aesthetics play a big role in keeping employees happy. When you don't have an onsite cafeteria and you're working through lunch...well, you know, it's not good.

Pros

I think that we all own and contribute to continuing to make this a great place to come every day. At times there can be a feeling of helplessness that some employees demonstrate as though they are only here to experience and not contrinute.

Cons

This is an organization that is always changing. Change is good but can be uncomfortable for some. This would not be a good place if you are happy with status quo.
