Pros

- Fellow employees, tons of great people on campus who are passionate about work and about life - The campus is great, nice amenities, fantastic on site gym - Benefits are very competitive - Salaries appear to be in-line with the industry, but Mountain View based employees do make more

Cons

- Pockets of the company are very "political" and navigating around such an environment can be challenging, not as bad in San Diego - Perception is the key to getting promotions. At the higher end, it's about how you are perceived more so than the quality or content of your work - Can be pretty ruthless with RIF's - Way too many managerial positions and levels of management

Pros

The company has a strong, positive culture. The management does seem to care about the employees. The benefits are very good many choices for health coverage. In San Diego, the new Torrey Santa Fe campus is great with an excellent cafe. The company hires smart people and, for the most part, keeps them engaged in interesting work.

Cons

The company is trying to reinvent itself with unknown up-to-now success. Lots of reorganization going on currently. Just had a sizable chunk of lay-offs. The company seems a bit aimless at this point, relying on the success of its QuickBooks and TurboTax brands for continued income.
