Pros

Many smart people who enjoy having a challenging technical conversation. Very relaxed working environment, but everyone gets their work done. Ton's of benefits including a great campus, very generous medical / dental / vision, time off to work for charity, and flexibility for working from home. Intuit is all about the customers, so you feel that your work is really beneficial. A lot of time and effort is spent determining what the customers want, and how to best meet that need. The results are products that fill critical needs, which is very rewarding to be a part of. Intuit is great for those looking for a good work / life balance. They are very understanding if you have to leave the office early, or come in late, for personal reasons. It really feels like you are working for the larger team, not just your particular department.

Cons

Intuit can be a bit political at times. The managers try to convey information to you about why changes are being made in the company, but there seems to be some underlying cause that they are not disclosing. Intuit can get distracted easily, and have many pet projects that are not very useful. May not be a downside to most people, but almost everyone has their own office. If you are in software development, this is not a very good way to encourage collaboration with teammates or other teams. Intuit seems to be playing catchup when it comes to integrating with the next generation of technology (mobile, web 2.0, etc...)

Pros

1. Great work-life balance. You are allowed to manage your time and priorities to strike a balance between work and life. 2. Lot of opportunities for career advancement. You are the driver for your career with a lot of support from your direct manager and above. 3. Respect. Your ideas, point of view and contribution is respected. 4. Access to upper management. Directors, VP's and others at that level have open-door policies.

Cons

1. A bit of the "old boys network" where "dubious" decisions are not questioned. When that decision backfires it is the lower ranking employee that ends up losing their job due to "restructuring".
