Pros

You can wear lots of hats. No silos, work on what you like. Plenty of challenges to be had.

Cons

Really long hours. Code releases take many hours at night and frequently need several rounds of patching. Its a "work hard/play hard" type of place. Dumb architecture. Too much arrogance and not enough results on the management, e-staff, and architecture side. A bit of a joke all around.

Pros

Intuit Info Tech offers strong opportunities for professional development and training, and many of the people I get to work with excel in their fields which provides a stimulating and challenging environment.

Cons

Senior IT management seems out of touch with what has been happening at the line level. This does appear to be changing for the better recently.

Pros

There are lots of great technologies to be exposed to. There are some very good people that have rubbed off on me.

Cons

The politics at Intuit are like no other mature corporation. It's more like a high school. I've witness very unfair and unethical practices on a daily basis. The lack of communication from peers that are only in it for themselves and Managers who are stuck in their comfort zone is intolerable. This comfort has generated some very lazy and dishonest co-workers and management.
