A sinking ship

Pros

- Good perks such as 401k match, $1300 wellness budget, discounted rentals - 2 days a week RTO (not strictly enforced though)

Cons

- The worst Data Science you could ever imagine. The team is puppet of other business stakeholders (such as Product, Sales, etc.) and the priorities change almost every other week - Data leaders lack spine. They let other stakeholders treat DS as a support team rather than thought leaders or drivers of KPIs - While other companies let their DS spend 30-50% time in deep dives or strategic analyses, it would be a good quarter for you if you could spend even 20% of your bandwidth on analyses. Most of the time goes into ad-hoc, dashboarding, biz reporting, etc. - Poor data infrastructure - Too much politics and favoritism for promotions and recognitions

Pros

Nothing great if you really care about your work and the impact that you could be making with your work. You will not have anything worth to add it to your resume.

Cons

If you are someone who is good at using catchy phrases and not get anything done the this is the pace for you. C-suite people are interested in knowing when you will be using the trending model rather than identifying use cases and business goals to the team. People that work here don’t know what and why they are doing certain things and simply doesn’t care about the impact.
