Pros

-Big name firm with a diverse array of clients -Wide range of different practices -Pay and benefits are relatively good

Cons

-Big firm and big office means you are just a number - people don't actually care about you; mentorship opportunities are vastly overstated -While there are lots of smart people to learn from, there is also a surprising amount of incompetence and people with awful personalities -Work/life balance can be extremely poor

Pros

Best way to learn about the worst possible firm among big 4 in Switzerland.

Cons

HR has no experience and cannot resolve issues, bad pays and no system of bonuses, its all based on relationships, people have zero experience even at the highest level and if your ambitious they will make sure to try to cut you off. I have worked in 2 other big 4s both deloitte and PWC and KPMG is the worst of the worst. Save your time and go to any other firm that will give you better experience, better brand and better money. They have open job vacancies for years and no body would join because its well known for a crappy reputation. If you really like KPMG go to KPMG germany or UK. Swiss KPMG has no projects on the advisory side. I speak from experience.

Pros

Will hire new grads with little experience, entry-level role for diploma grads or people who aren't interested in their CPA

Cons

Managers/seniors encourage you to eat your time (you end up doing unpaid overtime) Performance rating system is rigged and highly political If you're not in your early twenties you will have trouble fitting in the office culture Compensation system is a joke, considering how much unpaid overtime you'll do
