Pros

Just started here but so far, it's been a really positive experience. Time off is not only encouraged and supported but policy is adamant that it is respected. Notes in email signatures saying, "While you may receive emails from me outside of working hours, I do not expect a response or action outside of your own working hours." are common and it is expected that everyone follows "Do Not Disturb" status settings. Every networking event includes snacks and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages. Everyone is super welcoming, inclusive, and curious about which team or branch you're on, what city or prior company you came from, etc. Lots of local events take place as well as some requiring travel (like conferences) that are typically reimbursable You're given tons of resources and support for questions or concerns with great follow-up if someone is too busy to answer in the current moment. Lakehouse is a cool training facility that includes tons of free food options, super-efficient check-in/check-out procedures, and travel to/from is completely reimbursable. There are lots of opportunities for bonuses either through compensation or their "early career rewards" program that allows you to be reimbursed up to $1200 in the first couple of years. After 3 years, you receive an $8K retention bonus. Promotions internally are encouraged and they have opportunities for you to shadow other groups or positions to discover new interests if you're not sure what your next move might be. They reimburse for certifications like ACAMS or CPA + give you a bonus upon completion. KPMG has made public efforts to promote and support DEI, and other "hot-button" issues like Russia/Ukraine, etc. They also encourage and host volunteering in local communities and make efforts to support their clients and employees impacted by national disasters Most employees have been here 5, 10, 15 years or more which speaks to the positive work experience they've had

Cons

Their management structure can be confusing for certain lines of business. I have a transitional coach, a people leader, and then directors which differ per project. Not knowing which individuals to route specific questions to is difficult to navigate sometimes.

Pros

Good reputable firm and will look great on CV.

Cons

There is a lot of politics. As an ethnic minority, I was not given the same opportunities as my white counterparts. Avoid the banking tax team at all costs - management have a history of racism. Not a diverse team. If you are abwhite male you will do great.

Pros

The salary and benefits were good

Cons

The partners and managing partners treat everyone like second class citizens. No work like balance. Expect you to work around the clock.
