Pros

Competitive compensation and benefits (including healthy PTO)

Cons

Sclerotic culture, limited / no entrepreneurial spirit, no name / reputation with clients compared to other pure-play strategy consulting houses (MBB) or even strategy consulting businesses of other Big 4; neither diverse nor inclusive; recruiting of junior team members shockingly uncompetitive

Pros

Brand Recognition Salary Yearly Trainings Good place to start

Cons

The culture at kpmg is toxic. It was somewhat good. Like any new job, you love it the first 6 months, but after that, it slowly sucks the life right out of you until there is none left. The result of you after working for kpmg is that you have an empty soul.

Pros

Vacation days are generous during the holidays. Early career awards Many learning tools Smart colleagues Easy to network The brand name is good for your resume

Cons

They talk about diversity, but its mostly for a show. No Senior Associate, director or senior directors have a 50% diversity rate among them in Management Consulting. Promotion is scarce for people of color in their upper echelons 401k match minimal Work hours are alot, so make sure you negotiate the best salary you can upfront, as they are not known to give big increases or bonuses more than 7% for the hard work you do during the year and the hours spent. Depending on the team you join, it can be good or difficult for you. It seems the big 4 all spy on each other.
