Pros
Decent pay and benefits (though bonuses were poor - 2016) Learning opportunities for grads Probably much better for audit & tax roles
Cons
Technology is not understood by senior management (almost all are from a non-technical background) - it always plays second fiddle to audit, tax and other advisory capabilities Being an audit firm is annoying when trying to get work with clients (there are restrictions on who you can work with and how); also the day rate is extremely expensive so sensible clients will go elsewhere They definitely don't practice what they preach - internal systems and processes are awful Lots of internal politics. Partners and directors have their own fiefdoms which they protect and fight over (which results in lots of duplication in teams across the organisation).
