Human Resources dept. is very toxic and senior management is well aware but will not do anything to improve the work culture in HR. Exempt employees are docked for time taken to go to doctors appointments which is a violation to the FLSA regulations. At this company Tenure trumps skill set or effectiveness. If you have been with the company for a long time you can sail through doing absolutely nothing but stifling change and much needed improvement. Millennials do not last here because the policies are outdated and are not employee friendly.

Decent pay. The hours are good.

Cons

The only opinion that counts is one that holds a piece of paper saying they are qualified even though they do not have any world experience. Management tends to stick together and never ask the "underling" what is going on. You don't feel comfortable going to your supervisor's boss with any issue due to the gossip mill in management. They always state "Kapsch is transparent", however in my position it meant "transparent" but only if you matter, but still do your job without knowing what is going on. Very secretive.

The company offers great pay, decent benefits and the ability to work on some of the most advanced traffic systems.

Cons

Terrible work life balance, lack of communication between offices and departments, grossly unethical behavior by management, understaffed, and favoritism runs rampant.
