Extremely volatile work environment

Pros

The benefits are average, if not slightly below average. That's about the best I can say for them. There are some really great people working there. Too bad they are completely hidden under a catastrophe of a management team.

Cons

They have had too many executive-level leadership changes in the last couple years. It is hard to keep abreast of your task at hand when it changes every few months, without prior notice. The current leadership does not understand the business they are in which goes to explain why most of their facilities are failing, along with their sales. They have went through 2 presidents, 3 directors, 4 facility managers and half their sales force in a 3 year span. What does that tell you about them? Any kind of dissent or offering of alternative solutions/opinions is not tolerated, which explains the turnover. It also explains why they are failing badly as a business, because management has a complete inability to listen to anyone underneath them, who actually understand the real problems, nor give them the necessary support to remedy these problems. So when the dominoes fall, they just continue to yell at everyone and keep complaining about the problems that still exist. They are a regulatory violation and/or a loss of a large account away from folding. And it couldn't happen to a better, more deserving group of people.

Middle managers ruin this company

Pros

The processes are some of the best and well aligned that I have ever seen in any other company that I've been at. The business is straight forward, uncomplicated and easy to understand how it works. Even when issues arise, they are relatively easy to solve. SAP is a big part of what makes the processes here so straightforward.

Cons

The managers (specifically in supply chain) absolutely ruin the experience of working here. I'm not sure that real leaders (directors, VPs, etc) know how their smaller managers act towards everyone else. It's hard to believe the people in these manager roles were actually hand selected to manage other people when they probably can't even manage their own households. They only thing they're really good at doing is intimidating their subordinates, taking behind their back, and making them feel alienated.

Cons

Customer service senior management does not care about employees, drive good employees to leave, treats employees poorly and always have an attitude, which drives customer service department “morale” very low. Does not allow for employees to grow and explore other departments.
